Overview

This course includes topics concerned with the basics of the computer, the mechanisms of its use, and the skills of dealing with it practically and theoretically. It also includes all the details of the techniques and tools of modern technology used in the field of nursing that help students.

Intended learning outcomes

Knowledge and understanding:

1- The student will be familiar with the most important general computer technical terms and concepts.

2- To familiarize the student with the types of operational and application software for the computer, whether open source or proprietary.

3- To familiarize the student with the types of computers and their basic components to each other and the different means of using them. And on different communication and communication techniques and information exchange.

4- To familiarize the student with the different computer systems used to record and use patient data and care policies.

Mental skills:

1- The student should be able to distinguish between different types of computer software.

2- The student should have the ability to collect important data and apply the steps of the data processing system.

Scientific and professional skills:

1- The student should be able to design the electronic patient record system in a simplified manner.

2- The student should be able to perform computer operation skills and use the operating system environment.

3- The student should be able to design presentations to display seminars, research and lessons.

General skills

1- The student should be able to use the computer and office applications to complete the work.

2- The student should have the ability to use the means of communication to obtain scientific information in his field of specialization.

3- The student should be able to work within a team to perform research.
